ICEF Podcast: What is the outlook for online learning in higher education?

Our podcast series continues today with a special discussion on the role for online learning in higher education.

After a remarkable, global pivot to online learning and teaching this year, we are now looking ahead to a number of scenarios for higher education in the second half of 2020. These may take the shape of full online provision, online delivery at the start of term that may give way to face-to-face programming at some point during the semester, or some other hybrid approach that combines online and in-person instruction.

This episode explores emerging best practices and lessons learned from the shift to online that most higher education programmes made this year. We also consider how institutions are moving on from that initial switch to lay down more durable plans, tools, and strategies for online provision over the balance of this year and into 2021.

To help us explore this topic, we have three experienced educators from providers with impressive histories in online programming.: Justin Cooke the Chief Content & Partnership Officer with the digital education platform FutureLearn; Petra Eckerova, the Director of International Recruitment for Torrens University; and Ingrid Elliston, International Director with the University of New England.
